Dance team competes at state

On Friday Dec. 2, the varsity dance team competed at the state dance team competition held at Wells Fargo Arena. The dance team competed with a pom and jazz dance, and 14 members of the 17 member team danced in each.
The competition is organized into divisions based on school size. Since Johnston is a large school, the dance team competed against other high-ranking dance teams from large schools such as Waukee, Urbandale, and Linn Mar.
The dance team is coached by Whitney McCool with the help of assistant coach Darian Huff ’15.
Angela is a sophomore who puts the pro in procrastinate. She is involved in too many activities for her to handle, so she's pretty salty most of the time....
