Boys’ basketball beats Urbandale 66-51

The boys’ basketball team won their second straight game against the Urbandale J-Hawks to improve to 12-3 on the season Jan. 26 by the score of 66-51. The first quarter was strong for Johnston jumping out to a seven point by the end of the first quarter and kept that lead going into the half. In the second half they pulled away making the lead as much as 12 in the third quarter and pretty much killed the game off after that.

Boston Grimes ’18 lead the team in scoring with 19 points on 7-12 shooting. Camden Vander Zwaag ’18 also chipped in with 14 points shooting 50 percent from the field and adding six rebounds and two blocks. Peyton Williams had 12 points and 12 rebounds and is averaging 9.1 rebounds per game.
