Back to School

School starts in a week. It starts exactly seven days from now. We have to be back in class at 7:45 a.m until 2:50 p.m for five days of the week. However, I am kind of looking forward to it.

The early mornings and late nights spent on homework, and the constant pressure to get good grades will, of course, frustrate and stress me out but I am ready to get back to being a productive person.

I am excited to see my friends everyday and to make new ones. I am ready to start filling my brain with more random knowledge that I may or may not use.

A lot of people say Junior year is the time you focus on academics and really start to prepare for college. I plan to do that but also expand my social skills. Grades mean a lot to me but I also need to learn how to communicate with people, because that is a skill I know I will always need beyond high school.

It is weird to think that in two short years I will be off to college, or whatever I chose to do outside of high school. I am utterly frightened because I do not know what to do outside of high school. I think this is the year I have to start figuring it out, and at least get an idea.

I plan on enjoying this school year. I will get mad, stressed and frustrated but I know in the future I want those memories to look back on and to learn from.
