BREAKING: School Closure For Four Weeks

A district email was released at 12:29 p.m. on March 16 containing information regarding school closure. The school will be closed until at least April 13. All school sponsored events like sports practices are cancelled until April 13. The School Board is holding an emergency session on March 19 in order to approve the four week closure and approve a response on make up requirements. The open board meeting will be limited to the first 50 people per the Centers for Disease Control [CDC] recommendation.
UPDATE: Governor Kim Reynolds signed legislation on March 17, that allows state schools to wave required make up time due to the cancellations caused by the outbreak of COVID-19. School Board is still holding an emergency session on March 19 at four however, the number of people they recommend to attend has decreased significantly. It is strongly recommend that attendees watch via livestream instead of in person.
