Down Goes U-Town

Both men’s and women’s basketball seized sizable victories over rival Urbandale on Friday, December 3. The JHS Black & White, however, was only able to get pictures of the men’s game. The women started the day off strong, destroying the J-Hawks by a ridiculous margin of 49 points. Jayce Blanchard ’23 led all scorers with 15 points, while Aili Tanke ’24 and Molly Noelck ’23 were both in double figures with 11 in the decisive 64-15 win.
Later that night, the men ran the J-Hawks off the court thanks to strong efforts from Steven Kramer ’22 with 29 points, Trey Lewis ’22 with 22 points, and Masen Ryan ’22 with 18 points. Lewis and Kramer also recorded 10 rebounds each, while Ryan shot at an extremely efficient 85.7% from three. The trio of seniors led their team to a 82-53 victory.
