It is That Time Again

Marandah Mangra-Dutcher, Staff Writer

I walked into Target a little over a week ago and I found that they have put out school supplies. My heart, at first, filled with dread. I am sad to go back to school but, I am running out of things to do with my summer.

A majority of my time was spent reading or watching Netflix this summer. I can only read so many books until I get bored of them, and I can only watch so many things on Netflix before I run out of things I want to watch.

School may be stressful and at times, excruciatingly frustrating however it gives me things to do. I like having a schedule to stick to and having people to constantly talk to, even though I will be utterly exhausted after.

School has kind of already started for me. The marching band season is swinging into full force, and we are finally starting to learn the show. The weird thing is, I am totally okay with it. I have a reason to get up and do things rather than sleep until noon. I have a reason to go to bed before one in the morning so I am not a zombie the next day.

While I am going to miss summer and the freedom that comes with it, I am not mad about it coming to an end. I will welcome the school year and all it has to offer.
