Johnston High School was awarded the IASC Honor Council award for the 2020-21 school year.

The IASC Honor Council award was created to give recognition to high schools that represent an effective student council organization. Student councils must receive at least 80 points to be considered an Honor Council with Meritorious Distinction. In order to meet the requirements for this award, a student council must meet different standards. The requirements include but are not limited to a written constitution, regular attendance, a democratic election, and a demonstration of leadership and service to the school and community.

Student Council President Dylan Coslin ‘22 stated, “It’s a great honor that we won this and that the student council deserves it. This made me realize how much the JHS student council actually does. It’s a nice recognition for us.”

Congratulations to the JHS student council and thank you for representing us as a school. Go Dragons!
