On Saturday October 8 the marching band attended the 43rd annual Valleyfest. The dragons took first place in the morning competition with a score of 89.5 and competed later in the evening as well. 

“Competitions are always a bit stressful,” Peyton Brown ‘24 said. “But at the end of the day, it’s just such a fun experience because you’re there with your friends, and you’re just doing what you love most.” 

The marching band will perform during halftime at Friday night’s football game and will have their final competitions in Waukee and Ankeny on Saturday October 15.
