On February 23, Snapchat released an update that included the ability to change your username. Users simply tap on settings > username and will then have the ability to change their username.

For years the main complaint about Snapchat was that you could not change your username. Many Gen Z users downloaded the app in elementary or middle school and had embarrassing or childish usernames.

Raegan Rodda 23′ said in regards to the update “I changed my username because I made it in 6th grade and it was embarrassing. Definitely a long-needed update. ”
