Recently, headlines broke with the news that former Olympian and reality TV star Bruce Jenner was coming out with being transgender. In an interview with Diane Sawyer, Jenner said that for all intents and purposes that he was a female, and he identifies himself as a woman even though he has male parts. Recently, students were asked to share their opinions on the news. While I got some responses, I was shocked to find out that most did not feel comfortable talking about the topic, and others claimed they did not know who Jenner is.
