Trails Worth a Run

Being close to nature is a valuable experience everyone needs every once in a while in their lives, I have found that one of the best ways you can do that is but running (personal preference). Because of that, I have shared with all of you my top picks for the best places to run in Johnston.
Trails behind Terra Park - Behind the most known and constantly traversed concrete trails of Terra Park there lies a dirt trail that leads to the outskirts of the township. Being that it was likely an old cross country course it has many harsh turns and a bumpy surface. I enjoy running here because it has plenty of wildlife and an excellent view of the evening sunset. Camp Dodge – Camp Dodge really has a place in my heart for its (yet again) amazing view of Saylorville Lake above the dam, it poses yet again the challenge of soaring hills, but if you are willing to take on the challenge of running up the side of the dam wall, you can really take in that amazing view from the top of the dam wall.
