Why Me

Known for her collaboration with Clean Bandit in “Rather Be”, Jesse Glynne released her first album “I Cry When I Laugh” Sept. 11. Right off the bat “Why Me” has a steady beat to introduce Glynne’s vocals and Rhianna immediately came into mind. Her vibrato at the end of each lyric was just the right touch, not annoying enough to sound like a goat *cough* Taylor Swift *cough*. Honestly when clicking on Glynne’s album cover for the song, I would have never guessed the British singer would have a hand in “Rather Be” or in the pop genre in general. With her deep rich voice, her style could go a variety of ways so I’m excited to see what the future holds for her in the next few years. This song or others from her album could definitely be heard on the radio within the upcoming months no doubt. Overall I give the singer a 4 out of 5 on the scale due to the catchy rhythm that anyone can sing along to and how much it made me want to get up and dance.
