After prom details
March 10, 2014
This year’s After Prom theme is Wonderland, based on Alice in Wonderland Through the Looking Glass. There will be Lazer Tag, a variety of inflatables and other games such as bingo, Karaoke, a photo booth, a cash cube, a casino and more.
Around 2:30 a.m. students will move to the auditorium for a hypnotist show. Money, electronics, gift certificates, apparel and more will be given away as well. Students must be present when their name is drawn to win prizes. The prom decorating committee also needs help. High School students are eligible to earn Silver Cord hours by helping prepare decorations.
There will also be promotions offered by vendors. Plaza Florist in Urbandale will contribute $1 per corsage and 50 cents per boutonniere purchased by JHS students to our After Prom Party, Stacey’s [prom] will donate $25 per tux rented (split between After Prom and Dragon Scholarship Fund), and Milroy’s Tuxedos will give $50 off the regular tux rental price and donate $20 for the first tux rental and $3 for each additional tux rental.
