The boys’ basketball team won again against the Southeast Polk Rams at home to go to 11-3 on the season Jan. 23 by the score of 72-64. They got off to a fast start taking an eight-point lead by the end of the first quarter and extended that lead to 15 by halftime. In the second half, they let off the gas and brought in some of the lesser used players. Camden Vander Zwaag ’18 led the team in scoring with 20 points. He also had seven rebounds, three assists and went 4-5 from the three. Bowen Sandquist ’18 scored 16 points, going 4-6 from three. Peyton Williams ’19 had a nice game scoring 14 points and adding nine rebounds.

This win got them out of a two-game losing streak and puts them back on track to make playoffs. Their next game is Jan. 26 at Johnston High School.
