Cross Country boys’ and girls’ qualifiy for state

Both the boys and girls qualified for the state cross country meet after running at the district meet held on the DMACC campus Oct. 22.

In the varsity boys race, junior Patrick Bose placed first and senior Zach Smith second. Bose also placed first in the conference meet last week held at ISU on Oct. 15. Overall as a team they placed second, the top 3 teams and top 15 individuals at districts go to state.

The girls placed first overall, with sophomore Jessica Mckee in first, junior Emily Poss in second and senior Maddy Bradley in third. The is the third time in three years the girl have placed third at this meet.

The next meet, which is the state meet, will be in Fort Dodge at the Kennedy Park golf course on Oct. 31.
