Demonstration Against Hybrid Learning
October 12, 2020
On Oct 8, 2020 parents and students held a demonstration against hybrid learning, calling for the school board to vote in favor of a five day week instead of the two and a half we currently run with hybrid.
After meeting for three and a half hours the school board voted 5-2 in favor of going back to a five day school week.
An elementary student holds a sign outside the board meeting. Supporters of the five-day return to learn plan gathered in front of the district office Oct. 8 to voice their opinions. The board voted 5-2 to scrap the hybrid plan and planned for students to return to school every day Oct. 26.
