The varsity boys’ basketball team hosted the Dowling Maroons Feb. 6. The final score of the game 69-64 and the Dragons were victorious over the Maroons.

The two teams remained fairly close throughout the game. Until the fourth quarter where the Dragons gained a larger lead, however, they were never ahead by more than six points.

In the last 10 seconds, sophomore Jeran Proctor was fouled on and shot two free throws, putting the Dragons at 69 points. Dowling followed by making a three-point shot to make their final score of 64, just coming short of the Dragons.

The varsity boys’ basketball team has five games left to play in their conference. The next game is Tuesday, Feb. 13 against Urbandale at home.
