Dragons roll Huskies 45-13

Senior Alec Ksiazek evades Hoover senior Dom Marschel, while pushing down Johnston freshman Anthony Coleman in order to complete a pass. The first playoff game took place against the Hoover Huskies Oct. 29 at home, where the Dragons took the victory 45-13.

Playing against the Hoover Huskies in the first round of the playoffs, the Dragons prevailed Oct. 29 over the Huskies with a final score of 45-13. The varsity football team began with a strong start against the Huskies and continued all the way up until the end. Although it was a breezy, cold night the stands were still full of a supportive students, parents and others as they all sported pink gear to spread awareness of breast cancer. The Dragons will be moving on forward in the playoffs and will next go head to head with Ankeny Centennial Monday Nov. 2 starting 8 p.m. at Ankeny.
