Junior Elle Brown won the 400M dash with a time of 58.75. The varsity track team competed at the DCHS Girls Invitational Track Meet April 25. They placed fifth overall as a team with a score of 45.00. Ankeny Centennial place first with a score of 133.00. Urbandale placed second with a score of 106.oo followed by Dowling Catholic in third with a score of 103.00 and DSM Roosevelt with a score of 99.00 in fourth.

Also placing in the 400M dash was freshman Josie Hovey in second with a time 1:00.03 and senior Olivia Roberts in third with a time of 1:00.14. In the 1500M, freshman Kate Hapgood placed fifth with a time 5:20.34. In the 3000M, freshman Lauren Urban placed fifth with a time of 12:11.90. In the High Jump, junior Kara Krahn placed fourth with a height 4-10.00. Senior Rachel Hinders placed third in the Shot Put with a distance of 36-08.75. Johnston also placed fifth in the 1600M Distance Medley Relay with a time of 4:47:73.

The girls compete again on April 28 at the Drake Relays.
