55 students acted in three productions of "Seussiccal." 25 cast members portrayed characters from many Dr. Suess stories, 17 students played in the orchestra, and 13 students participated in the crew, moving objects on and off stage as well as playing extra characters such as Thing 1 and Thing 2. The varsity boys were defeated on Friday, Dec. 2 by the Ames Little Cyclones. The score was 55-48. The team looks to improve for Tuesday, Dec. 6 against West Des Moines' Valley, at Valley High School.

Bowling victorious against Jaguars

Johnston girls' and boys' bowling team went up against Ankeny Centennial and left victorious in the first meet of the high school season on Dec. 1. Carter Lundgren '17 scored a total of 422, and Madison Singleton '19 scored a total of 457, totaling the highest on their teams.
