Our girls basketball team is one win way from having a perfect season and winning the 5A State Tournament.

They played Pleasant Valley, seeded 4th, and the game ended in a whopping 64-44. Starter Aili Tanke ’24 previously shared her dream of making it to state. She is moving forward with the idea to “…always ‘just do the best you can do to help your teammates and not let them down.'” Tanke also said, “My coaches tell me to ‘keep shooting even when I miss.’ I always  take that to heart.”

The team ended up outshooting the Spartans 47.9% to 33.3%. The huge student section had a loud impact on the game.

Tomorrow they head into a match up against Waterloo, seeded 6th. The tip off is at 6:00 pm.
