The varsity girls volleyball finished 4-1 at the Ballard Invitational Tournament on Sept. 19, earning a second place overall. Even though the girls finished second on the day, both they and their coach felt satisfied with the performance they gave. “It was really cool because it shows our school and our team that we can compete with good teams,”  Paige Williams ’19 said. “It also builds our team chemistry when we win and do good because we are putting each other up and supporting one another,”

Coach Rich Brooks was also pleased with the performance and effort his players made. “We are working on a new defensive system and I thought the girls are starting to better understand how all of it fits together,” said Brooks. “The team played well, but it’s even more important that they supported each other throughout the day,” The Dragons currently own a 9-7 overall record. Their next game will be played on Tuesday September 26th at Dowling Catholic High School.
