Hollow

A new single from the American singer/songwriter Tori Kelly “Hollow”, that continues with the mainstream female pop vocals. Personally I’m not the biggest fan of Kelly, “Hollow” not being any sort of exception to my distaste, but she does have a unique tone to her voice. The song actually

started off well with strong yet meaningful lyrics with vocals to match, but when the artificial “clapping” made an entrance I was out. But the melody is pretty catchy and I could imagine that this song would be played on radio stations like, Kiss 107.5, Star 102.5 and more. Compared to her other songs I would say it pretty much follows the same formula of her powerful voice plus more artificial clapping and traditional female pop sound. Overall though I’d give the young artist a 3.5 out of 5 on the song, just due to how catchy it would be with the main pop culture with the chorus melody.
