Varsity show choir Innovation eventually decided not to go to FAME Chicago, as at least 10 members would not have been able to attend due to prior conflicts. Innovation received second place at FAME Branson on Saturday, March 29, which qualified them for a position in the national finals event in Chicago on April 26 and 27.
“It was scheduled for the same weekend as the musical, originally, so we never really saw it as a possibility before,” choir director Eric Shepard said.
