Johnston got its second straight win on Friday, September 9th beating Dallas Center-Grimes 44-21. The Dragons improved their record to 2-1 after a high scoring game. Johnston pulled away early after an offensive explosion in the first half scoring three touchdowns. The defense held firm allowing only one score in the first half and two in the second. Will Nuss ‘25 led the charge on offense throwing for 278 yards and 4 TDS on 17/27 passing. Nuss gave his thoughts after the game. “We had some plays setup that would counter their defense pretty well, and they did. Our plan was to do our stuff and trust our players.” Johnston will face Waukee Northwest on Friday September 16th.
