The Flipster app is now available for students to access on their iPads. The app allows students to access digital copies of magazines on a variety of topics. “I decided to buy the digital magazines because our paper ones don’t get used,” librarian Ruth Thoreson said.
These downloaded magazines can be read without wifi. “I do think there is value in magazines and many students would enjoy reading them in this format,” Thoreson said.
There are 25+ magazines currently available on the app. If there are any magazines students are interested in reading that are not on the app, suggestions can be sent to Thoreson.
