Newly Elected School Board Members Formally Seated

Newly elected school board members, Clint Evans, Deb Davis and Derek Tidball, were sworn into their new positions on Monday, November 22, 2021.

The school board meeting started with the three former school board members, Board Vice President Dr. Jeanie Kerber, Steven Hopper and Board President Justin Allen giving their final remarks.

Superintendent Laura Kacer shared what she had learned from working with each member and gave them a gift.

Following the seating of the new school board members, Katie Fiala was sworn in after a vote 4-3 as the new Board President. Alicia Clevenger was elected Board Vice President in an unanimous vote.

As the meeting came to a close, Tidball motioned to hold a special meeting to address the current mask policy. The board decided to meet with the school attorney in a private session early next week with a special meeting to follow.
