Over the summer, the doors that lead into high school had numbers placed above them. The purpose of these may seem unimportant, but they do a lot more than just signify which door is which.
Aside from just labeling doors, these numbers also help the police or fire department know which door or doors to go to help students, if need be.
“We would say (to the law enforcement) instead of going to the south doors, to go to entry point one or 15 or 22,” Principal Brent Riessen said.
All schools in the district now have numbered doors.
The numbers at the high school start at one and end at 22. They increase by one in clockwise order around the school, starting at the main entrance doors and ending at the health doors.
