The boys’ and girls’ cross country teams competed in district meet in Council Bluffs on Thursday, Oct. 20th. Both teams will be advancing to state.

The girls’ team placed first in their race by winning first through sixth with Jessica McKee placing first with a time 17:54, followed by Brooke McKee, Emily Poss, Paige Horner, Josie Hovey and Clara Toot. Kendal Nead, the seventh runner, passed out partway through the race and was unable to finish. She was fully recovered shortly after the race.

Boys finishing second, only nine points behind first. Patric Bose finished first overall with a time of 15:35. Luke Perman finished 18th with a time of 16:35, running over half the race with only one shoe.

Both will run at state on Saturday, Oct. 29th.
