Every Wednesday students within the special education department collect recycling bins from each room in the high school. Students divide the building into sections on a map and collect recycling accordingly. “It’s a way to help others, I really like to help others a lot,” senior Eilise Murray said.

Murray and other students are a part of the Adult Living program taught by Heath Patchull. Throughout the week during third and fourth hour, students in this program participate in various work activities to prepare them for their future. These activities include recycling and working at Pioneer and Oakmoore.
