Tying up the Big Give

Students have taken giving back to the community to new levels this year with the Johnston’s Big Give. “We wanted to bring the school together this year with the Big Give,” student body president, senior Katie Marckmann said. This year the Big Give has numerous events to collect items for the community. Each advisory class created tie blankets together on Wednesday, Feb. 6, which will be given to the Youth Homes of MidAmerica.

Each advisory made one blanket and over all the school produced 75 blankets. “The Big Give is happy to be supporting the community and Partnership Place,” Marckmann said. “We’re happy it’s all going back to the community and the students here can all do it together.”
