Volleyball Season Opener Vs Fort Dodge High

The Lady Dragons began their volleyball season against Fort Dodge High with a full student section and high hopes. The Dragons started off strong winning the first set 25-13 with an impressive sophomore performance from Ava Helming 24′ and Josie Pundt 24′. Throughout the match, Johnston never lost their momentum, seizing the second and third sets 25-12 and 25-6 respectively. After an ideal start to the season, the Lady Dragons would like to ensure the opening day sweep will not be the last. They will get the chance tomorrow as they travel to Des Moines Hoover for their first road battle of the season.
