Annual blood drive breaks goal

Reno Davis ’17 donated blood for the first time. He wanted to try it out and knew that is was for a good cause. “There was a minor complication that causes my arm to swell and feel sore afterwards, but overall I donated some blood that could potentially help someone,” Davis said.

The blood drive was held Oct. 27. The goal was to collect 75 units of blood. There were 90 scheduled donors and 95 registered donors. 

By the end of the day, 85 units of blood had been collected. Sixty-eight people donated blood for the first time. According to LifeServe, there were 255 lives impacted by the donations.
