Boys’ swimming places fifth at state

Freshman Grant Nelson competes in the 500 yard freestyle. The boys placed fifth overall at the state on Feb. 13.
The varsity boys’ swimming team competed at state competitions in Marshalltown, Saturday Feb. 13. At the end of the day, they walked away placing overall fifth and with several top individual placings.
In the 100 and 200 free, senior Stjepan Fiolic placed second and in the 50 free, junior Grant Fuhr placed second.
Fuhr also placed third in the 100 place and third in the 400 free relay along with Fiolic, senior Ben Kramer, and sophomore Grant Lair
. In the 200 free relay, the same boys placed third again.
