Celebration of the Life of Jill Morrill

Community members and district staff attended a celebration of life memorial reverse parade for beloved past board member Jill Morrill Dec. 2. After the reverse parade in the high school parking lot, Morrill’s family continued onto other places that meant a lot to Morrill.
Morrill passed on Nov. 27 in her Urbandale home at age 64, surrounded by her family and friends, one month after being diagnosed with brain cancer.
Morrill served on the school board from 2002-2019, where she was elected president and vice president. Morrill was also served as the District 5 Representative for the Iowa Association of School Boards, where she received an award of achievement in 2015
