Students and staff were pushed outside after a fire alarm went off Oct. 25 at 7:23 a.m. Associate principal Jerry Stratton said the alarm was caused by dust in a sprinkler. After 17 minutes of standing outside, waiting for the fire department to clear the building, students and staff were able to return inside. Many students were still just getting to school and parking. Because it was before school, administration had no way of keeping track of students according to Stratton. The school is taking regular attendance as classes begin.
