Show choir continues after loss

Varsity show choir, Innovation has brought home the title of Grand Champion twice this season. At Waukee’s Starkstruck invitational, Innovation (grand champion) competed against groups like Urbandale’s Studio (first runner up) and Millard West’s West in the Grove (second runner up).

After performing at Johnston’s Showzam invitational as an exhibition group, Innovation went on to compete at Elkhorn South’s Crystal Cup invitational. There they broke their streak by placing second in the competition behind West Side High’s Amazing Technicolor Show Choir.

Innovation competed again at Davenport’s Great River’s Show Choir Invitational Feb. 20. They were able to bring home the title of Grand Champion once again.

Innovation will compete again Saturday, Feb. 27 at Cedar Rapids Kennedy’s Raise the Roof invitational.

Synergy, has also brought home two Grand Champion titles for the prep division. They received first runner up at Waukee’s Starstruck. They then received Grand Champion at Elkhart South’s invitational and Davenport’s invitational. They will compete again at Cedar Rapids Kennedy’s invitational Saturday, Feb. 27.
