Fourth fire alarm shoves students outside

A student looks to the fire truck as it pulls up to investigate the fire alarm. The fire alarm went off during B Lunch, sending students and staff outside into the snow.

For the fourth time this school year, students have been forced to evacuate the building after the fire alarms going off. The first occurrence was in October, the second in December and the most recent being at Showzam. “Johnston needs to fix whatever is going on,” Bryony Whitelaw ’17 said. “It makes this happen all the time.”

The first two were due to dust in a sprinkler and the third alarm was due to a faulty sensor. Administration could not disclose what caused the fire alarm to go off this time, but assure that the issue is being taken care of.
