Girls’ down Maroons, boys’ fall short
Varsity boys’ and girls’ basketball took on the Dowling Catholic Maroons Feb. 5. The girls started out the night with a win of 57-47, while the boys took the court next, but fell to the Maroons with a final score of 72-67. “We played decent, but we didn’t come close to our maximum potential,” junior Dawson Jones said. “It was a tough loss, but we will bounce back.”
The varsity girls’ basketball team will take the court again at home Feb. 12 starting at 6:15 pm with the varsity boys’ basketball team following at 7:45 p.m.
