The boys’ swim team competed at the District swim meet at Summit Middle School Feb. 6. The team placed second over all right behind Waukee. Junior Grant Fuhr placed seconding the 50 yard Freestyle with a times of 21.22 seconds. Stjepan Fiolic placed first in the 100 yard Freestyle with a time of 46.67, Fuhr also placed second in the with a time of 46.88 followed by junior Alex Overton in fourth with a time of 47.46. Fiolic placed first in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 51.32. Fiolic placed fifth in the 100 yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:01.22. In the 200 yard Freestyle, Fiolic placed first with a time of 1:42.56 and Fur placed third with a time of 1:46.48. Fiolic placed third in the 500 yard Freestyle with a time of 4:50.44. Johnston took first place in the 200 yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:25.75. Johnston also took first in the 400 yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 3:10.20. In the 200 yard Medley Relay, the team placed fourth with a time of 1:39.63. The boys team will compete next at the State meet Feb. 13 at the Marshalltown YMCA.
