Cross country excels at conference

Boys’ Cross Country brought home the conference title for the first time, Oct. 17.  The varsity team finished with a score of 45, JV with a total of 26.

“We need to enjoy yesterday, but keep our eyes open on what we can do in a few weeks,” head boys coach Matt Jaschen said. The varsity team will compete at districts next Thursday in Council Bluffs.

The boys top seven runners included senior David Rice, sophomore Drew Hershey, senior Connor Westlake, junior Ben Renner, junior Josh Borwick, freshman Patrick Bose and senior Jeremy Caracci.

Girls’ varsity also placed third, trailing second by one point. The girls top runners were junior Jordyn Kleve, sophomore Maddy Bradley, sophomore Sara Ness, sophomore Anna Toot, senior Kenzie Foldes, freshman Emily Poss and junior Abby Puk.
