Anne Rogers is a senior who has been on the newspaper staff since freshman year. Her other activities include running on the cross country and track team, National Honor Society, the Student Ambassador program, and the National Council on Youth Leadership. Next year she plans to go to either University of Missouri or University of Kansas to study journalism and psychology. Her lifelong dream is to take a long walk on the beach with her pet squirrel Theo. Sadly, she cannot to do this in Iowa because it is surrounded by corn and grass and more corn. She daydreams of one day living by the ocean to fulfill her ultimate goal.

Team Litig8 is an all freshman team who made it to the state competition. It is made up of freshmen Will Gavin, Mark Nagel, Sean Reddick, Anika Schmitt, Harshini Abbaraju, Hailey Abbey, Kathryn Ikeda, Prakhyath Bujimalla, Andrew Janni and Jack Lucas. Four other teams made it to the state competition March 24-26.

Senior Shane Vaughn takes down Valley wrestler Todd Robinson at 138 pounds during the home meet Jan. 22. Vaughn went on to pin Robinson, helping the Dragons to take the lead. However, the Tigers preceded to take the meet, winning 34-31.
